Glassfibre Concrete GRC

02

Glassfibre-concrete (GRC) is a composite of high-value microconcrete and alkali-resistant glassfibres. Through the combination of two brittle materials a ductile composite is formed, which has a high bending-strength and high impact-strength and can therefore absorb loads.

Especially developed for concrete the authorized AR-glassfi bres are, when compared with other glassfibres – very resistant against the alkali environment of cement-composites and make it possible to create building-products with high strength. With GRC it is possible to manufacture thin, filigrane and light-weight products, allowing the production of complex three-dimensional shapes, as they cannot always be made in normal or precast concrete. Glassfibre-concrete therefore is used for building-products where strength and lightweight ‘thin’ elements are required, e.g. facadecladding. The composite is highly compact and shows a very good resistance against frost making it suitable for exterior applications.

All Dinamic CCC cladding-elements are produced from a patented concrete-matrix. This matrix comprises of sand, cement and special mineral aggregates. The special character of GRC, produced with this matrix, makes it extremely durable, which is proven in numerous tests performed by renowned institutes. The expected life will be at least 50 years. The environmental pollution-impact of Dinamic CCC is nearly nil and experimentally proven. Exhaustive tests of the leach-outbehaviour of a.o. the German MPA in Stuttgart show that all requirements of the German law and Dutch Building-material Degree are fulfilled.
