New expansion of the vocational training college in Mettmann a combination of modern concrete-grey GRC and traditional “terra”-coloured plaster concrete. An attractive facade with contrast-effect was created.

For the “Berufskolleg” in Mettmann facade-elements with dimensions up to 1.100 x 3.100 mm with a thickness of 25 mm in the standard colour “nebula” concrete-grey were produced. The surface “polish” is fi nished by grinding. Using a mechanical concealed fi xing-system the elements were fi xed to an aluminium support subframe. The ventilation-cavity between the elements and the insulation of the building is 60 mm with a joint-width of 15 mm.
